Mission Statement Volunteers For Christ is a non-denominational, non-profit mission organization formed for the purpose of primarily raising financial and prayer support through short-term mission trips to reach Brazil and Brazilians for the Lord Jesus Christ through children’s programs, church planting, and Christian camping.  Our mission shall be accomplished through local fund-raising,  supporting Brazilian missionaries, buying land/building Kid’s Places in poverty-stricken areas, providing dependent and needy children with food, shelter, love, discipline, education and the word of God to enable them to overcome their surroundings, church planting through the Kid’s Place facilities, partnering with Brazilian nationals and seminary students to administer our Kid’s Places and pastor the churches, working with orphans, opening and operating orphanages, and buying land/building a first class Christian camp in the mountains of Northern Brazil to reach the young people for Jesus Christ.  Volunteers For Christ will also support neighborhood evangelism, Bible studies, microfinancing projects, social/recreational/educational activities, short-term mission trips,  and similar type programs that glorify God and seek to strengthen the church of Jesus Christ in Brazil.

It is our belief that by first ministering to the physical, educational, and other needs of the children, it will allow us an opportunity to meet and fulfill their spiritual needs, as well as those of their families.  Our goal is to see these children’s lives changed, while at the same time strengthening and planting new churches, raising up and supporting missionaries, and helping families in the favelas break the cycle of poverty.  Not only are we trying to change the lives of the South Americans touched by this ministry, but we are also trying to change the lives of those North Americans who are involved in this ministry, so they will come back with a new sense of urgency, desire, and passion for the Great Commission, which will overflow into their daily lives and have a positive influence on those around them.
